Auto, Truck, and SUV Tint
At Tim's Custom Tinting there’s no question that adding window tint to your car is a great way to keep the sun’s harmful rays out and maintain a cool temperature inside. It is also a great way to add an extra level of privacy, and let’s be honest, cars with tinted windows just look better. If you spend a lot of time on the road, you can’t miss out on this invaluable upgrade. Choosing the right tinting is the challenge. Here are some tips to choose a window tinting that gives your car both style and substance.
Do You Want Privacy in Your Car or Heat Rejection
Car window tinting comes in different levels of darkness. The darker it is, the more protection it can provide, and the less people can see into the car. Extremely dark tint, however, can make it hard for you to drive at night and almost impossible for anyone to see you when looking through the windows.
There are different laws for each state. California for example does not allow any tint on the front two doors. Therefore front doors should not be too dark in order to be legal.
Consider Ceramic Window Film
There are many options when it comes to tint. The best you can do is to choose anything that reflects the dreaded UV rays. Exposing yourself to UV radiation for a long period is unhealthy—it can even cause skin cancer. Locations based in the southern states and along coastal areas, in particular, are especially at risk with high UV exposure. Choose window film that can help keep the Ultra Violet Radiation down. Regardless of what film you decide on, rest assured knowing they all block 99% of harmful UV rays.
Different States Have Different Tint Laws
It is important to know what is allowed and what is accepted in your state. Basically the two front doors are supposed to be lighter while the back doors and back windows can be darker. You don’t want to obscure the view of your car’s side and rearview mirrors, for example. Lighter shades are usually safe and have no problem with this, while dark window tint is a whole different matter. Theres no denying the good looks of dark windows but It can obscure the images on the mirrors, especially if there is little street light at night. Ultimately its your decision to make we are just hear to inform you and help you make the right choice. We only see your car for a couple of hours, on the other hand you have to see your car everyday for many years to come.
